D.r.e.e.m. ing of the Future

WOW! Really? It's been almost a year since I updated this? Unreal how time flies and things change. I am restarting this blog (again?) because I am going to be doing a blog for D.r.e.e.m. Reality - www.dreemreality.org The Blog is going to be about "The Glory of Gardening" and will probably have farm stuff thrown in but the focus will be on the garden. I plan on sharing all of the trials and tribulations and rewards of having a garden.
In the meantime before I start the gardening blog I will catch up anyone who is interested in MoonShine Mountain Farm - www.moonshinemountainfarm.com
So we have ramped up our farm tremendously which means lots of good things and that I am tired. But, it's the good kind of tired that comes from knowing that your working hard, doing what you believe in, and making a difference (at least that's what I am telling myself!)

We have lots of new additions to our farm... the newest additions are a set of triplets from our dear Mrs. Sugar. Sugar -the goat- has never had kids before and I am quite certain that she is highly annoyed with me for sending her to meet that young buck who she thought she liked so much. Since she had never had kids before, AND she decided to have three we had a "Runt" He's the one on the Left. So cute! This is them at a week old. Sugar took a while to warm up to him and he had to have a few bottles to keep him going but he's nursing well now and mom and all three billy goats gruff are doing fantastic!

Last Fall we got some sheep. The sheep we got are a type of Hair sheep- meaning no wool. I call them Rasta-sheep because their hair right now looks like dreadlocks. I have 2 ewes (both pregnant) and a Ram named... wait for it.... Ramsey. They are all sweet and I can't wait to see the newborn lambs- who are due any day now!

We also got a new heifer named April - a granddaughter of Junie- April is the black one on the left
and the one on the right is Junie's calf from last year "The Fool" He has GROWN! He is named The Fool because I desperately wanted a heifer to name April (born in April) and what did I get... and April fools joke!
Oh Well, he's pretty isn't he?

Of course we have lots of other littler additions- We have some new ladies, a new set of turkeys- Royal Palms- and lots more bunnies.

We are growing and we are excited about it. Maybe a little tired- but way more excited!
