On the Second Day of Christmas My Farm Provided Me
  - 2 Dozen Eggs -
& a Bald Eagle Perched in a Pine Tree

Today Austin sold 2 dozen eggs! He sold them to his teachers. We are letting him keep a portion of the $ (the other portion goes to cover the costs of the animals)  He is very excited about it, and so are we. Maybe one day he will be able to buy a car with egg money....
I am very tired right now and not able to keep my thoughts together. So- I will write in the morning. On the Third Day of Christmas! BTW we are having 25 days here at the farm since there is so much love, fun, work, and so many chores to go 'round. So keep checking... and don't give up on me today, read yesterday's blog and look at Sugar's cute little face. She is just one of the reasons I'm exhausted. And I LOVE it. (but need to get some sleep)
Have a good night. Sweet dreams of goats dancing/ climbing on clouds. (they don't simply jump like sheep- that's too boring)

  1. Good to hear Austin's hardwork and interacting with his teachers is paying off. Your eggs are the best. I know he'll be great with his customers. Good thing (you're teaching) him the rewards of hard work, otherwise I bet he would love just giving his eggs away! He's one of the good guys.
I've always liked tomatoes with eggs. Your green salsa with cilantro would make a delicious omelette as would your red salsa...very healthy, no cheese needed. Yumm!
To me, this time of year, eggnog is king! Anyway, farming is hard work. As your farm grows in size and the holidays approaching, how about taking on some help. Advertise. Wanted: Yuppies of the city, you and your family come work a farm in the country for a few hours. Feed the goats, gather chicken's eggs and pet the bunnies and do other chores as needed. Families often look for things to do with their children. Free exposure to farming and a little help on the farm? Sign me up!
